Mamdouh Bakhos, MD, FACS, is surgical director of Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation at Loyola University Health System and chairperson of the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Bakhos attended medical school at Damascus University and completed a residency in thoracic surgery at Loyola University Medical Center and a residency in general surgery at Meridia Huron Hospital in Cleveland. He is certified in thoracic surgery by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
