Researcher Needs Your Help with Survey on Afib Stroke Prevention Decision Making

Please Help with Doctoral Dissertation Research Study

December 16, 2019

  • Summary: Can you help with a research study on afib stroke prevention decision making?
  • Reading time:  1–2 minutes

A researcher needs your help with her Doctoral Dissertation Research Study on Atrial Fibrillation.

This study will examine your participation with your healthcare provider regarding decision-making about afib stroke prevention. This study poses no risks to you. It intends to increase the understanding of decision-making for those with atrial fibrillation and has the potential to benefit afib patients in the future.

You are eligible to participate in the survey if you:

  • Have afib that was diagnosed by a healthcare provider
  • Are at least 18 years old and live in the United States
  • Are contemplating a decision about treatment to prevent afib-related strokes or have decided on that within the past three (3) months

To participate, you will complete an anonymous online survey that should take you about 15-20 minutes. Access the survey at Atrial Fibrillation Decision-Making in Stroke Prevention.

Please note that the survey contains pictures with text. If you wish to enlarge your screen on your browser to better view the pictures, you will find options to do so in most browser menus. On other devices, you may be able to “stretch” the screen to enlarge the pictures.

The researcher’s institution has approved this research. If you want more details, including whom to contact if you have questions, see the detailed research documents here.
