American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) CardioSmart initiative and Mended Hearts are sponsoring Living with Atrial Fibrillation programs

AF programs to take place in December of 2012 in Dallas, Houston, and Tampa

November 14, 2012

Summary: The American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) CardioSmart initiative and Mended Hearts are sponsoring Living with Atrial Fibrillation programs around the U.S. in partnership with local healthcare institutions.

The first three live events, Living with Atrial Fibrillation, co-sponsored by the American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) CardioSmart initiative and Mended Hearts, will take place in December of 2012 in Dallas, Houston, and Tampa.

These programs will offer opportunities for patients with AF and their friends and family to learn from Fellows of ACC and connect with AF patients in their community about signs and symptoms, treatment options, and how to communicate effectively with the entire cardiac care team. Participants will come away with not only increased awareness of AF, but also learn about free resources for AF that are available to them, including the new CardioSmart.org AF Online Patient Community.

Lunch/Dinner and parking validation are provided. These programs will be free and open to the public.
