Minimally Invasive Procedure to Treat Atrial Fibrillation

CLEVELAND, OH--(MARKET WIRE)--On Thursday, December 18, watch a radiofrequency catheter ablation for treatment of atrial fibrillation. The minimally invasive procedure will be performed by Mauricio Arruda, MD, Director of Electrophysiology Services and Atrial Fibrillation Center, part of the Harrington-McLaughlin Heart & Vascular Institute at University Hospitals Case Medical Center.

Additional commentary will be heard from Dr. Albert Waldo, The Walter H. Pritchard Professor of Cardiology and Professor of Medicine, and Associate Chief of Cardiology for Academic Affairs at University Hospitals Case Medical Center. Atrial fibrillation, also known as AFib or AF, is the most common heart rhythm disturbance, yet remains one of the most difficult to treat effectively.
