    I also am a afib patient and would like to know if anyone knows if high altitiude (8,000+feet) causes more frequent occurences.

      Robert,

      There are varying opinions on altitude–some say afib is worse, others say afib better, and other say it makes no difference. The biggest issue seems to be making sure you stay well-hydrated at altitude.
