StopAfib.org - For Patients. By Patients - Stop Atrial Fibrillation

StopAfib.org is seeking afib patients interested in participating in an advocacy training program.

The training program will help prepare individuals to share patient perspectives with various audiences and participate in advocacy activities.

The training will take place virtually and consist of two half-day sessions, January 19-20, 2023.

Following that, if you would like to refine your personal patient story, two small group sessions will be offered on January 27 and February 10.

    I have afib.. was put on medicine called eliquist.. after having a stroke. About a year later several months ago, I had a severe heart attack.. and continued.. to take, eliquis plus metoprolol SUCC ER 25 MG TABLET TWICE A DAY.. ONE IN THE MORNING ONE AT NIGHT. I HAVE BEEN ON ELIQUIST ALMOST 2 YEARS AND NEVER HAD A COAGULATIONTEST? IS THAT BAD.. AND OTHER LIFE-THREATEN BC.. I’M IN MORE PAIN, have gained weight AND I FEEL TIRED ALL THE TIME. Can this cause weight gain and extreme fatigue?? Thank you in advance.

You may want to post your story and questions there, and you may also learn a lot from others who have already shared their experience.
