National Afib Awareness Month 2026: Recap of Awareness-Raising Media

Highlighting media that raised awareness of afib this month

  • Summary: National Afib Awareness Month in 2026 was quite busy with media hits, as you can see below.
  • Reading time:  2–3 minutes

As we wrap up National Afib Awareness Month, we want to highlight some of the media that raised awareness of afib this month.

First, our founder Mellanie True Hills was privileged to be exclusively featured in People Magazine this month, which you can see here:

Additionally, Dr. Rod Passman and Mellanie went into the studio in Atlanta during mid-September to do TV and radio interviews across the country, talking about afib and the REACT-AF Study. To date, we’ve seen 30 television, 732 radio, and 6 online placements go live, reaching a combined audience of 35.5M, including:

  • Chicago, WVON-AM: The Rufus Williams Show
  • Dallas, KKVI-FM: The Valder Beebe Show
  • National, CONN TV: Get Connected with Conn Jackson
    • This cable television show is carried across 28 channels, including in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco, Tampa, Phoenix, and Miami.
  • National, MSRN: Radio Program
    • MSRN programming is broadcast nationally in most of the 210 markets across the country. Some stations air it multiple times, resulting in 729 hits.
  • Minneapolis, KLTF-AM: KLTF Morning Show

We have 5 additional interviews we expect to air over the coming weeks:

  • St. Louis, KPLR
  • National, Coast to Coast TV
  • Seattle, KORE-FM
  • Miami, WSFL
  • Austin, KTBC

Lastly, the Online News Distribution is being processed and is expected to go out to priority markets.

We will add links to these as we get them.

Please share these resources with family, friends, and others who need to know about afib. You could help someone get diagnosed and treated before they have a stroke.
