Announcing Our New Look and New Capabilities

August 31, 2007 6:20 AM CT

Dallas, TX, August 31, 2007 — We have made some changes in our look at StopAfib.org and have added the new Atrial Fibrillation Services Locator. It will be a valuable tool for afib patients in locating cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, hospitals, heart hospitals, and arrhythmia centers to help with atrial fibrillation. We are just launching it, so please pardon our dust while we get providers listed. Check often, and watch us grow. And pass along the word.

To find afib services, you simply enter your zip code in the locator on any page, or select Find Afib Services from the menu and enter your search criteria in our convenient form or click on a state. We currently feature United States locations only, but will soon offer global resources.

Your search results will list providers’ contact information, directions, web sites, and in some cases, patient reviews. Some providers have created enhanced listings that provide contact information, directions, web sites, patient reviews, and full page profiles that include background information, afib services, and specialized procedures and results. More information helps you make good decisions.

How can you use the Atrial Fibrillation Services Locator?

It depends on whether you are a patient or a provider. Here are some of the ways:

  • Patient looking for help — Use the zip code search or the Find Afib Services search form or state map to find help in treating and managing your atrial fibrillation.
  • Patient who can review a provider — Use the Contact Us form or click on Provide a Patient Review on search results pages, making sure to give us your provider’s contact information.
  • Provider of afib services — Let afib patients know about you through our Afib Services Directory by getting a FREE listing or an enhanced FEATURED listing to provide even more information for afib patients.

If you need more information, use our Contact Us form or contact Mellanie True Hills at 940-466-9898.
