Dr. Bronleewe is up to date in the new and rapidly evolving surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation. Advances in the surgical Maze procedure using radiofrequency energy allows for effective treatment of atrial fibrillation during coronary artery or valvular heart surgery, adding minimal time and risk to the procedure. He is one of the few surgeons in Florida treating atrial fibrillation surgically using a minimally invasive approach and without the need for the heart lung machine (MiniMaze).
Dr. Bronleewe has been chosen by AtriCure, Inc. to be an instructor, teaching other physicians how to perform the operation.
