Specialized Procedures and Results
Procedures and the devices and energy sources used:
- Full Cox-Maze procedure done minimally invasively using a unique purse-string technique
- Beating heart Pulmonary vein isolation and extended epicardial lesions (only in a highly selected group to ensure comparable success rate to the Cox-Maze procedure)
- The energy source of choice is Argon-based Cryothermal, and occasionally radiofrequency ablation
