Get in Rhythm. Stay in Rhythm.® Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference October 30 - November 1, 2020, in Dallas, TX

2019 Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference Sponsors

Ask questions about devices and meds.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve shared quite a bit about the 2019 Get in Rhythm. Stay in Rhythm.® Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference agenda and faculty members. That’s because we believe the information we’re providing August 9-11 in Dallas has the potential to change the lives of those living with afib!

Now, we want to take a moment to let you know about the opportunity you’ll have to visit the conference sponsors when you join us.

Attendees of our previous conferences have told us they found it fascinating to meet our sponsors and get hands-on with some of the devices used in procedures. They also expressed appreciation for getting the chance to ask questions about devices and medications.

If you’d like to go ahead and reserve your spot at the Afib Patient Conference now, so you can do the same, go here—registration closes at midnight on August 5th:

Join Us In Dallas August 9–11 And Get Your Life Back.

The conference wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors—the registration fees cover only a small portion of the cost of putting it on.

Which is why we would love it if you’d take the time to visit with them and thank them for helping make the conference possible!

Here are the specific times you can do so:

  • Friday, August 9: Sponsor exhibits are open during breaks and lunch.
  • Saturday, August 10: Sponsor exhibits are open before the first session and during breaks and lunch.
  • Sunday, August 11: Sponsor exhibits are open before the first session and during the morning break.

Some of our promotional partners (generally other patient advocacy organizations) will also have booths open, and you can learn more about what they do, too.

Curious about who our sponsors are, and what they’ll be sharing?

Here’s a list, by level of sponsorship:

Our Platinum Premier Sponsor is the Bristol-Myers Squibb-Pfizer Alliance. Their product, Eliquis® (apixaban), is an anticoagulant medication for reducing the risk of stroke due to afib that is not caused by a heart valve problem (nonvalvular afib).

Silver Sponsors:

  • AtriCure makes radiofrequency and cryoablation devices used in surgical and hybrid procedures for afib.
  • Biosense Webster makes catheters and 3D mapping tools used for afib catheter ablation. They’ll be sharing information about their Get Smart about AFIB programs and GetSmartAboutAFib.com website.
  • BioTel Heart’s remote patient monitoring devices were used in the Apple Heart Study.
  • Boston Scientific makes the WATCHMAN device that is implanted in the heart to reduce afib stroke risk. They will be sharing information about the ASAP-TOO clinical trial of the WATCHMAN for people who cannot take blood thinners at all.
  • Medtronic makes a wide variety of products used for afib that range from implantable devices for detecting and managing afib to catheter and surgical ablation tools for treating afib.
  • SentreHEART makes the LARIAT device and will be sharing information about their aMAZE Trial that is exploring whether combining catheter ablation with closing the left atrial appendage using the LARIAT procedure is more effective than catheter ablation alone.

Patron Sponsors:

  • AliveCor makes the KardiaMobile smartphone device and app that captures medical-grade EKGs to detect afib, normal sinus rhythm, and other arrhythmias and sends EKGs to your doctor.
  • Incarda Therapeutics is conducting clinical trials of an inhaled anti-arrhythmic medication for converting those in paroxysmal afib back to normal sinus rhythm.

Other Sponsors:

  • Co-Sponsor, The I-STOP-AFib Study, was created by afib patients in conjunction with the University of California at San Francisco. The study will allow you to track and test your potential afib triggers with a smartphone app in order to improve your quality of life.
  • Gerolsteiner, our Official Mineral Water Sponsor, provides conference attendees with their German mineral water that contains minerals that are helpful to the heart. Gerolsteiner water can help in avoiding the dehydration that can trigger afib, and has been known to convert those in afib back to sinus rhythm.

Again, talking with the sponsors has the potential to provide you with a better understanding of the medications, devices, and clinical trials you’ve heard about, and we hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity.

Here's that link again where you can learn more about the conference, and reserve your spot before registration closes on August 5th:

We hope to see you in Dallas!

P.S. Visiting with our conference sponsors gives you a unique and important opportunity to get face to face with the people behind products, medications, and clinical trials that may be of interest to you! Reserve your spot at the conference before registration closes on August 5th, here, and talk with them:
