About

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Baldwin began providing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical services in Marquette in July of 2002. Dr. Baldwin returned to his homestate to practice at the University of Minnesota in July of 2003. Upon returning to Marquette in 2004, he rejoined the Surgical Department of Upper Michigan Cardiovascular Associates.

Dr. Baldwin completed his undergraduate education, with honors in neuroscience, at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also completed his thoracic surgery residency, general surgery residency and internship at the University of Minnesota.

Board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Baldwin has been recognized with a series of educational awards. He won the Earl Young Award at Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis, an educational grant awarded annually to one senior surgical resident by the staff at Methodist for clinical achievement. He also was awarded the Buchwald Award, a grant given annually to one senior surgical resident for academic and clinical achievement.

Dr. Baldwin enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children. In his free time he enjoys biking and fishing.
